Sperry Tents were born in 1975, when Steve Sperry began making beautiful custom sails for yachts. Then in 1978, the weather took a turn for the worst and a friend phoned Steve and asked whether he could create a ‘party tent’ to protect his guests from the elements, as they partied the night away. Using his skills, materials and poles milled from the woods behind his house – the first Sperry tent was born.
Nearly 50 years later and Sperry Tents are available in 17 countries across the Globe, including the UK. Sperry Tents have graced manicured lawns, beaches, rolling hills, picturesque valleys, deserts and wide-open vistas – the canvas for so many beautiful events. - The canvas canopies are crafted from real sailcloth sewn together with intricate seams. Therefore, the seams are unobtrusive and delicate to the eye.
- The Oyster coloured canvas is beautifully reflective and adds a flattering warmth to photography.
- The Spruce Pine wooden poles are milled by hand, using natural products only enhances the atmosphere within the Sperry tents.
- Above each of the poles along the sides of the tent, is the iconic large star shape – known to be the Sperry mark of quality and love.
- The side walls can be either opaque or clear, subject to the views you’d like to see. The sides are easily rolled up & down, weather dependant and built for all Seasons.
- Sperry Tents are crafted in coastal Massachusetts and now Cornwall, they’re built for all eventualities, the British weather is no match for a Sperry sailcloth!
- The tall and elegant peaks of each Sperry Tent with their flags, stand at up to 33ft to give the sense of grandeur from the outside and space in the inside.

We host over 200 events each year, all of which are completely personalised to each client. We are incredibly proud of our tipis and we knew that Sperry Tents would have the same success and really add to our portfolio. The tents can accommodate 100 – 300 guests and creating an innovative take on the traditional outdoor venue space.
