Real Wedding at Delamere Events
Continuing our features on some of the totally amazing Tipi venues we work with, is this fantastic real wedding at stunning Delamere Events in Cheshire. We’re pretty excited to share this wedding with you today because back in October our very own Andy married his love Sara! It was a gorgeous wedding at St Johns Church in Doddington, followed by a completely epic All About ME Tipi reception and full on party into the early hours at this gorgeous venue.
Delamere Events is run by Ryan, we really enjoy working with him and his dedicated, imaginative and professional team. This natural and beautiful venue, is at Cherry Orchard Lake, nestled right in the heart of Oakmere in rural Cheshire. It’s just 14 miles from Knutsford and 13 miles from Chester, making it so easy to get to and with plenty of accommodation in the area for guests to choose from if staying over.
The site is perfect setting for our Tipis, with lots of space to have whatever you want there so you can let your imagination run wild! With the gorgeous lakes in the foreground and stunning woodlands on all sides, it’s perfect for capturing gorgeous wedding photos too.

The Venue – Delamere Events
Andy and Sara were married on the 22nd October, a sunny bright day and chose Delamere Events as their venue for it’s flexibility, location and natural beauty. There is so much room at the lakeside and they wanted to create a totally massive tipi set up, with amazing decor, a huge party and chill out space as well and so it was the perfect choice to entertain their 125 daytime and 200 evening guests.
The All About ME Tipis
The couple chose 6 of our 72 Stratus Tipis, plus our chill out tent, to create an epic large party and reception area. They wanted to create a really large space, a really amazing wow factor! The Stratus 72 are perfect for Weddings, Parties, Festivals, Corporate Events, just about anything. We can link any number Stratus 72 together to create a single covered space. There really is no limit to the size of event you wish to create, you can create a wow factor with any number of them, one, two or even six!
The Photography
Andy and Sara chose Cheshire based Mr and Mrs W Photography to capture their big day. The images are gorgeous, we really love these of the couple in the woodlands surrounding the venue, Cheshire is just stunning as Autumn starts, making for amazing rustic natural backdrops.
The Dress and The Grooms Threads
Sara wore a beautiful dress with a delicate lace overlay, pretty beaded waist detail and a flowing veil from Wedding Belles Bridal Boutique in the nearby pretty market town of Frodsham. Andy and his groomsmen wore smart suits from John Morris and Co.
The Catering
The guest were treated to some gorgeous hearty homemade food, provided by Jane Smith Catering. With canapes to start, followed by roast lamb with roasted veg and dauphinois, plus apple pie and custard. There was also some delicious Cheshire Farm Ice Cream with pudding. All the catering equipment was from China Boy , they are really reliable and are used to supplying catering supplies to our tipi weddings.
The refreshments were kept flowing by the lovely guys at Cestrian Bars.
The Details and Decor
The couple chose a woodland theme for the tipi with natural decorative touches such as the personalised crates and tree themed table names .
Both mums got involved with making the day perfect for them, with Andy’s mum creating the floral arrangements and Sara’s mum making the gin and jam favours! All the stationery was created by Wendy at The Charming Press with the unique wooden favour labels and tree jigsaw ‘guest book’ by Rustic Charm . Such a lovely keepsake. The amazing macaroon tower was the work of Becky from Time for Sweet Pea and tasted as amazing as it looked!
The lovely vintage car the couple arrived in was supplied by Cool Wedding Cars and made for such a great entrance to the tipis. On the day the facilities were supplied by Blue Loos .
Entertainment
The Tipi became even more stunning at night with the beautiful lighting and fairy lights. The couple chose to entertain their guests with magic from the uber talented Sam Fitton Magician, a brilliant photo booth by Tom and Emma from Bear Hug Events and live music from Big Franks Party Band, who were awesome and really raised the roof!
It was such an amazing day, with loads of lovely people at a venue we love! Congratulations to Andy and Sara, it was epic, all our love and best wishes for your future together from the rest of the All About ME team xxx
