Our Tipis – Perfect for the Boho Couple
The tipis have a natural warmth to them and we wanted to work with that so went for a colour palette of coral pinks, peaches, teals, golds and white, with beautiful foliage, succulents, tassels and feather details. The All About Me Marquees Tipi’s were placed along the lakeside at Cherry Orchard, Delamere , drawing on their natural surroundings to compliment that boho feel.
Style Inspiration
Recommended suppliers, wedding Stylist Rebecca from Pretty Creative came up with the concept and Lucy from Lucy G Photography captured the images. We wanted to create our own spin on a beautiful Arizonan feel, dreamcatcher inspired wedding, in Cheshire, England in late spring! Drawing inspiration from nature and interior design trends. At the moment, native american crafts, macramé, tassels and feathers are still really influencing design and we love it! Perfect in a tipi setting.
Floral Inspiration – Succulents, Ferns and Seasonal Blooms
Heather at Living Colour is the most amazing florist, and created the perfect bouquets and floral crown for the shoot. A mixture of succulents, ferns, seasonal coral spring blooms mixed in with stunning pheasant feathers. The floral crown was an incredible piece of art, you can tell that Heather has a background in millinery too. All the floral details just tied in so well, and what you can’t tell from the images, is the beautiful scent from the jasmine that hung from the 2 large dreamcatchers and decorated the cake.
Dreamcatchers
The meaning behind Dreamcatchers is really lovely. They are hand made with love (often by parents for their children), hung over bed heads to catch any bad dreams, with the good dreams finding their way through the dreamcatcher’s web and sliding down the feathers and dropping lovely dreams on the sleeper below. We felt that symbolism was a great concept for a tipi wedding. The idea that friends and family come together, making handmade touches, to bless and bestow good wishes on the happy couple.
Rebecca from Pretty Creative had the idea of placing the table seating plan on a dreamcatcher that she made that we could hang in the tipi, which looked perfect next to the rustic cake on the wine barrel by Becky at Time For Sweetpea. It created a lovely focal point in the tipi venue. We carried the theme through with the name places by Hattie Boo Designs, set with dreamcatchers, succulents, macrame napkins and feathers. We also had a pretty array of soft blankets and throws from The Little House Shop, to keep ‘guests’ warm!
Boho Tassel Dress
The very talented Fiona at Felicity Cooper Bridal designed the bespoke gown, specifically for the shoot, it was perfect and looks really relaxed and boho particularly teamed with the stunning florals by Living Colour and accessories by The Native Soul.
Boho Stationery – White Feathers and Dream Catcher Table Plans.
For the stationery, Emma from Hattie Boo Designs created some boho invitations with striking white printed feather accents which she hand drew and then incorporated into the stationery suite, from the table plan to the place settings.
Natural Freckles, Boho Hair and Makeup
Clare from Harry Jon created Beth’s beautiful look with natural hair and make-up that really enhances Beth’s pretty freckles and sun kissed hair. With the floral crown, the look was complete.
